Pressures at work cause a rise in mental health problems
The survey involved over 2,000 employees and found that half of respondents felt staff morale was at an all time low. 28% were working longer hours and a third felt they had to compete with their colleagues in order to keep their jobs.
The findings support Mind's new campaign Taking Care of Business. The campaign is backed by a number of large businesses including AXA UK who were the first to sign up. It aims to change negative attitudes towards mental health problems and encourage employers to support workers who are experiencing stress and depression.
